Reverse Engineering and Tear Downs

Imaging Systems Technology has the capability to perform product teardowns including

• Detailed external and internal photos
• Detailed step-by-step disassembly
• Power measurements
• Circuit board & packaging metrics
• Complete parts list & component count
• Manufacturing cost analysis
• Description of unique electronic features and packaging concept

However Imaging Systems Technology also has a more advance capability in reverse engineering of electronic systems. This includes reverse engineering highly complex systems comprised of numerous subsystems. In the past 5 years IST has reverse engineer and completely duplicate form, fit and function over 20 separate electronic systems including:

• Power supplies
• Video receivers
• High voltage display waveforms
• Highly complex custom ASICS
• Embedded micro controllers

IST has developed custom equipment and tools for capturing data and analyzing functionality of a system. These tools are used to decode and disassemble the internal functions of the circuit board. Based on this analysis, IST can create a copy that is functionally equivalent to the original. Reverse engineering of electronic systems is often employed for
