Imaging Systems Technology's talented staff of engineer has received many awards for outstanding work, presented various papers around the world and have been awarded several grants for technical research and development.


2005 R&D 100 Award

Selection of the 2005 R&D 100 winners is a sophisticated process, lasting nearly a full year, and involving a panel of almost 50 independent technical experts who lend their expertise in evaluating the details of the product entries compared to other existing products and technologies. judging panel. The winning of an R&D 100 Award provides a mark of excellence known to industry, government, and academia as proof that the product is one of the most innovative ideas of the year.




2005 Edison Emerging Technology Award
The Emerging Technology Awards recognize the significant accomplishments of small, technology-oriented companies in Ohio. These awards honor firms that are developing or advancing innovative technologies, products or processes.






Winner of the 2001 Tibbets Award


Named for Roland Tibbets - acknowledged as the father of the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program - these prestigious national awards are made annually to small firms, projects, organizations, and individuals judged to exemplify the very best in SBIS achievement.




National Science Foundation (NSF) Award

In August of 2002 IST was awarded an SBIR Phase II grant to continue the development and commercialization of novel plasma display panels which utilize gas filled microspheres (PlasmasphereTM) as the pixel elements.





2001 Commercialization Assistance Award


This award is presented by The NASA Glenn, Garrett Morgan Commercialization Initiative.  It is presented to small minority-owned, and woman-owed businesses that can benefit from NASA resources.  The Initiative provides services that enables companies to grow or strengthen their business by leveraging NASA technology, expertise, and programs.




July 2002 Awarded ATP/NIST Grant


ATP awards are selected through open, peer-reviewed competitions.  All industries and all fields of science and technology are eligible.  Proposals are evaluated by one of several technology-specific boards that are staffed with experts in the field, such as biotechnology, photonics, chemistry, manufacturing, information, or materials.
